Electronic Explorations host Ian William Craig mixtape

Fans of Vancouver-based singer / composer Ian William Craig can check out a gorgeous mixtape from Ian on Electronic Explorations, the site run by Houndstooth Records' Rob Booth. The 1hr 20 mins mix, entitled 'Overflow' is described by Ian as being "a ruminative tape of musically sublime abrasion from out past the boundary." It features the likes of A Broken Consort, Pete Swanson, Phillip Schultze, Okkyung Lee, Kingdom Shore, Marsen Jules, Sarah Neufeld, Keith Fullerton Whitman, and Dirty Beaches.

Ian William Craig's new record is out today and you can check out a full stream of it up on The 405 right now. 'Slow Vessels' is an EP reworking six tracks from Ian's highly-acclaimed 2016 album, 'Centres', shedding the layers of noise and re-presenting the tracks in a radically stripped back acoustic vein, to reveal the unadorned beauty of the songs.

Ahead of his forthcoming record and European tour, Vancouver-based vocalist / composer Ian William Craig has had a live video session premiered on Tiny Mix Tapes. The session was shot at a friend's house in Vancouver and sees Ian running through a 22-minute set of songs sung alongside his customised cassette deck set-up.

Ian's new EP, 'Slow Vessels', a six track set of acoustic versions of songs from last year's 'Centres' album, is released on vinyl and digital on May 5th. His tour runs as follows:

The Quietus premiere new Ian William Craig track

The Quietus have premiered a track from Ian William Craig's forthcoming 'Slow Vessels' EP. The EP is an acoustic re-working of six tracks from Ian's brilliant 'Centres' album last year, and the premiere sees 'Arrive, Arrive' re-imagined for acoustic guitar and Ian's always-stunning voice.
