Vashti Bunyan ‘Train Song’ on TV Advert Campaign

Four years on from her last album, Vashti Bunyan is back in the news. The Edinburgh-based singer/songwriter’s gorgeous Train Song, which was originally released as a hastily forgotten Columbia single way back in 1966, has been revived on a Samsung TV advert, which is in heavy rotation across Europe. You can check out the advert by clicking above.

The song was featured on the album, Some Things Just Stick In Your Mind, which FatCat released in 2007, compiling Vashti’s stunning early singles and demos from the period spanning 1964 – 1967.

To celebrate this fresh activity, we are offering that album (which features a whopping twenty-five tracks in all, including ‘Train Song’) for sale at a special discounted price of just £7.99 for the CD and £6.99 for the full MP3 album. To buy the album at this discounted price, head over to our web store, where you can also read full information about the album, as well as listen to sample clips from each track.
