While over on a European tour supporting the acclaimed album ‘GEM’, U.S. Girls performed two songs for our FatCat Sessions series. This is the first song, a fantastic cover of ‘I Don’t Have a Mind of My Own’, a UK Northen Soul Scene favourite originally made famous by B. J. Thomas.  The session is set in The Green Door Store, a venue underneath Brighton’s Railway station, where the band were playing a FatCat-curated ‘Furballs’ event. The room decoration is by FatCat’s Dave Howell and Tom Lavis, utilising thousands of feet of video and audio cassette tape, and printouts of Meghan Remy’s collage art.

U.S. Girls are currently on a U.S. tour.
