See Vashti Bunyan in conversation at the ICA THIS FRIDAY
Edinburgh-based singer / songwriter Vashti Bunyan is the subject of a lunchtime talk at The Institute of Contemporary Art in London this Friday, where she will appear in conversation with music writer Rob Young.
The event is part of the ICA's running series of talks called Culture Now. Begun as a pilot series back in 2011, his series has become hugely popular and brings together contemporary artists and key cultural figures to the ICA on Friday lunchtimes between 1pm-2pm. Billed as a lunchtime 'bitesize' session, previous talks have included Grayson Perry, Tracey Emin, Zineb Sedira, Ergin Çavuşoğlu, Hussein Chayalan, Martin Creed, Dexter Dalwood, and Bob & Roberta Smith, as well as other key figures such as Bianca Jagger and media and human rights lawyer Mark Stephens.
Rob Young is a Contributing Editor of The Wire magazine and the author of Electric Eden: Unearthing Britain’s Visionary Music (Faber and Faber, 2010).
The talk takes place at the ICA at 1:00 pm this Friday, 22nd March. Entry costs £5 and you can book tickets online here.
