New Demo - Policy

Policy are a four piece from Kilcoole, Wicklow who recorded their debut EP last May. “In a Huff with Tantrums” - the band's first song - was written in a shed amongst a sea of bungalows in a cul-de-sac.

The lyrics reflect the dispute vocalist Robert Black has with other people about tantrums and huffs. “I think they're inherently ridiculous and embarrassing given the ways of the world. You need to plough on” he says.

The band quotes Blaise Pascal in the chorus: “For the heart has its reasons, which reason knows nothing of...” -claiming it perfectly sums up “the sentimentality of life and being alive, and the automatic dismissive ability of the heart.”
