Dustin O’Halloran - ‘My Life In Records’ Feature At Ragged Words
Dustin O’Halloran, FatCat’s 130701 post-classical imprint’s piano visionary whose debut for the label Lumiere was released yesterday in the UK and Europe, commemorates the occasion over at music site Ragged Words with a feature detailing some of the most important records of his life, and why they mean so much to him. Artists from Chopin to The Cure to Chet Baker all feature (as well as others not beginning with the letter ‘C’,) with Dustin writing fascinatingly on the impact of these records and the beauty he hears in each. You can read the piece by following this link.
Ragged Words have also posted photographs of Dustin’s show at The Vortex Jazz Cafe in London, and have a review of that show and of ‘Lumiere’ in the pipeline. You can go to our web store to buy Lumiere (although the vinyl has a slight delay because of a production error.)
