New track on FatCat’s Demoplayer - Merchandise

Merchandise - Kill The Light by Fat Cat Records

As we continue highlighting demos we find particularly interesting, we present Florida-based three-piece Merchandise.

Originally influenced by English and American Post-Punk (Wipers, Swans, The Fall, Eno and more) at its start up in 2008, the band recorded a demo tape followed by a few local gigs in Tampa Bay. After a hiatus, they returned in 2010 with a new LP ‘(Strange Songs) in the Dark’ on Katorga Works and Drugged Conscience Records, reflecting a new electronic/psychedelic influence. They are currently working on a new LP tentatively titled ‘Children of Desire,’ scheduled to be released on Katorga Works early 2012.

‘Kill The Light’ presented here was recorded with the original line-up and set-up of the band. To explore Merchandise further, visit their blog.
