Niger-based Tal National arrive in the country today to play their first ever UK shows. The band kick off with a London show tonight (July 23rd) at Cafe Oto in Dalston. They then play Womad Festival on Friday and Wickerman Festival on Saturday. You can find ticket links and details for all the shows below...
Following nearly three years of silence, our 130701 imprint has been reactivated, with several new signings lined up ahead of next year’s fifteenth anniversary.
Last week's unveiling of Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch is followed by a second signing, Dmitry Evgrafov. Tiny Mix Tapes have premiered a track from Dmitry's forthcoming album (due in October), saying the record "sounds like Max Richter scoring Fantasia".
Having appeared on FatCat's demo archive last year, French pianist/ composer Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch has signed to our post-classical imprint, 130701 . Her debut album is set for release later this Autumn and Drowned In Sound have premiered a track from it, calling it "haunting" and "glorious".
The latest FatCat Podcast comes from the producer James Marrs in support of his new label 'Laura Lies In.'
